Superb Compagnon's masterpiece. Inspired by a bulb divided into symmetric quarters, the outer slopes are treated as imperial, with the rafters of each of the slopes reinforced by a creeping cross of Saint Andrew and a curved purlin. At the convergence of the valleys of each quarter is a torso spire inspired by the famous work of Nicolas Fourneau, royal carpenter to Louis XIV. The bulb rests on a square-based half-timbered chair with a high, curved eave that follows the underside of the bulb. Brass label bearing the heading .
